Introduction to Single Pressing — Sunflower and Canola

Sunflower and canola are high oil crops that can be grown on your farm and realistically you should yield 80 gallons on marginal land and up to130 gallons on fertile land. Sunflower seed is a 44% oil content and when ran through the oil press 100 pounds of seed yields 5.5 gallons of oil with the cake the oil left in is 3.6 to 3.8%. Canola is a 40% oil crop and the oil in 100 pounds is just under 5 gallons. That is very efficient and achieved in a single press.

	6 TON PRESS WITH 3 PHASE ELECTRIC*— $7,925.00. Includes 6 ton press at $5,000, commercial kit at $2,300, and 10 HP 3 phase electric motor at $625.00.
